About me
Hello there! I'm Jessica, and I'm absolutely thrilled that you've found your way here. With a background rooted in nonprofit executive leadership and community development, I've always been passionate about connecting people and fostering vibrant communities. When I learned of the opportunity to become a publisher for Macaroni KID, it felt like the perfect fit for my family.
My husband, Evan, and I have been married for 21 years and we have an amazing (and hilarious) teenage son who keeps us busy. We grew up in the Willamette Valley and have recently moved to Southern Oregon to make the Umpqua Valley our home. Since settling in, this welcoming community has truly stolen our hearts, and becoming part of the Macaroni KID team has been a beautiful avenue to deepen our connections with local businesses and fellow residents.
Now, let me share a little about what makes me, well, me! If you catch me beaming, chances are I've got a churro in hand and mouse ears on my head, strolling down Main Street, U.S.A. in Disneyland. Our family is utterly obsessed with all things Disney. When I'm not planning a trip or dreaming of riding the Matterhorn, I find my greatest joy in connecting with new people and helping families discover the benefits of frugal living and homesteading.
Here's to embarking on this adventure together! I'm looking forward to getting to know you and shining a spotlight on all the incredible people, places, and things that make our corner of the state so wonderful. Welcome to our community—I can't wait to share this journey with you!
